Introduction to “IMPACT”
As I sit at my desk, I am happy, content, exhausted, exited and very thankful. I just returned from another crusade. People, a lot of people, had life-changing encounters with the one, true and living God. Many had their sins washed away by the precious blood of Jesus Christ and their names recorded in the Book of Life. Not by ink. But by an app. Not by deeds or words from a priest. But only by Jesus Christ and His “heavenly ink” – His blood.
Many people experienced deliverance from the evil of demonic oppression. It was not by religious rituals or traditions that they were set free. But when those spirits of darkness were rebuked in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, they had to obey and leave.
Many others received physical healing. Miracles happened each day. The blind saw! The deaf heard! The mute were speaking! Tumors, lots of tumors, of all kinds, even cancerous tumors, dissolved and were gone in a split second as the name of Jesus was spoken over the people. What an IMPACT on people’s lives!
It all because of the goodness of God. Yet, God works through people – people like you and me.
If you had asked me when I was a child or a teenager if I had planned to become a missionary and travel to distant places or preach the gospel to thousands, I would have promptly said, “No, not at all.”
It was not my plan…but, It was the plan of God.
I am a missionary now. It was not my idea. I could not see myself becoming a missionary, much less being a preacher, and even less than that, a preacher who preaches to vast crowds and in English! No way! But now I enjoy what I am doing. I feel like I am in the perfect and divine place for my life. I am glad I did not become a police officer as I was planning. There is nothing wrong with that; but, it was not God’s call or purpose for me to be in law enforcement.
The Apostle Paul also found out that he was not called to be an instructor of Jewish traditions, but instead was called to be an Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ. He discovered his God-given purpose in life. This made him fruitful and content.
It is my great desire that this book, IMPACT!, will inspire you to accept the call of the Great Commission with your whole heart . If this book encourages those of you already active in fulfilling the Great Commission to keep going full speed, I will be grateful.
IMPACT! shares my own experiences in life combined with spiritual truths and revelation. I believe IMPACT! will spark something in your life challenging you to reach for all that God intends for you.
